It's happened to plenty of people she's known. Lakshmi was one of the most recent, but she's certainly not alone...Life here isn't permanent. And it's been lost by people way more worthy than stupid John Mandrake.
But even so, even raising the possibility makes her feel vaguely ill. Which is so stupid. It must be because she's just anxious about how it's going to happen to her, eventually. That's all.
